Eko Hotel & Suites

For years The Eko Hotel (formerly The Meridien) has been the jewel in the crown of the Nigerian Tourism Sector. Its site perched atop a man-made mound acts as a wind tunnel to guide the breeze from the nearby sea through the open plan lobby. As a hotel however, the building has seen different owners come and go and with each change of ownership has come a change of fortunes, investment and traffic! Its on the up at present. Go for the recently refurbished Eko Suites in preference to the main building. The Calabash Bar is a popular meeting place for the elite and expats.
